The Foton 9m Luxury Coach is engineered for exceptional performance and stability, having undergone rigorous testing, including over 100,000 km of vehicle tests and CAE simulations in extreme environments, such as high and low temperatures and low-pressure conditions. Prior to delivery, it is subjected to a stringent evaluation process, featuring 20 commissioned tests and 20 quality checks on professional test tracks. The coach demonstrates excellent capability on various challenging terrains, including cobbled, rocky, bumpy, and twisting roads. Foton commits to delivering outstanding performance, ensuring the vehicle can exceed 1.5 million km without major overhauls, alongside a super-long maintenance interval of 100,000 km. Furthermore, the cabin air quality surpasses national standards for long-distance coaches, providing a comfortable and pleasant journey for all passengers.
The coach features an advanced dynamic system focused on high efficiency and energy savings, powered by the ISDe 245 40 Cummins engine. With the iFOTON and e-AIR intelligent cooling systems, it achieves over 20% fuel savings. Delivering 180 kW (240 HP) and 1800 Nm of torque, it complies with EURO 4 emissions standards. The lightweight, modular design reduces parts by 50%, enhancing reliability and serviceability. Innovations like iBrake technology provide superior braking performance, while LBSC technology optimizes fuel efficiency, saving up to 3 litters per hundred kilometres. Additionally, it utilizes 2000-bar high-pressure jet technology for lower fuel consumption and incorporates SCR for reduced emissions, making it a greener choice for transportation.
The front face style of the coach is inspired by the grace, agility, and grandeur of a crown, symbolizing its ambition to dominate the interurban bus market. It features imported Michelin tires, including a spare anti-explosion tire, ensuring reliability on the road. The streamlined design showcases dynamic and concise features, complemented by a through-type luggage compartment with a pneumatic up-sliding mechanism for convenience. The bus is equipped with crystal head lights that integrate halogen and LED light sources, achieving a perfect balance between aesthetics and economy. Additionally, the rear lights feature a dot-matrix LED light belt design, while the ram-type intake grille enhances intake efficiency by over 20%, harmonizing with the rear window and lights for a cohesive look.
